Throughout the year, New Skete hosts a variety of annual events that bring together friends, supporters, and newcomers alike. Among the most anticipated gatherings is the Pilgrimage Weekend, a time of spiritual reflection, engaging talks, and beautiful liturgical celebrations. Visitors can also explore the monastery’s renowned iconography, enjoy the peaceful hiking trails, and meet the monks and nuns who dedicate their lives to prayer and service. Additionally, New Skete offers retreats and workshops on topics such as spirituality, monastic life, and even dog training—reflecting the monastery’s unique expertise in breeding German Shepherds and training dogs of all breeds. These events provide a wonderful opportunity for all to deepen their faith, build connections, and experience the genuine hospitality that defines New Skete.
