Brother Theophan, Monk of New Skete and The Reverend Masud Ibn Syedullah, TSSF

Patricia Fann Bouteneff (D.Phil. Oxon.) a former academic and corporate chief of staff, is a strategic communications consultant as well as an independent scholar specializing in folklore and Pontic Greek studies. Her corporate, consulting, and academic work has always maintained a focus on discerning women’s voices within folktale repertoires, corporate histories, or religious tradition, and on amplifying those voices so that they can be heard. Baptized as an adult in Thessaloniki at a metochi of Simonopetra Monastery and formerly parish council president at Holy Trinity Church in Yonkers, NY, she has been active in church communities in Greece, England, Switzerland, and the US. She is the President of Axia Women, a network by, for, and about Orthodox women, in the service of Christ.
The Reverend Masud Ibn Syedullah, TSSF - Father Masud is a member of the Third Order, Society of Saint Francis, a Franciscan religious community within the Episcopal Church and Anglican Communion; an Episcopal priest and Director of Roots & Branches: Programs for Spiritual Growth, creating and leading programs for spiritual formation throughout the United States and abroad; and is a long-time friend of and collaborator with New Skete.
Brother Theophan, Monk of New Skete - In 2023, Brother Theophan entered New Skete Monastery as a novice monk. He was formerly a research Scientist at X: The Moonshot Factory, previously known as Google X, Google's semi-secret research and development facility. Prior to that he was an assistant professor of Psychology and Integrative Neuroscience at Binghamton University (SUNY). His upcoming book, Dreaming Reality, examines human consciousness through the complementary perspectives of contemporary neuroscience and the world's great contemplative traditions.
