Your dog walked these paths.
You practiced structure, clarity, and calm leadership.
You experienced firsthand how thoughtful training changes both dog and handler.
The Dog Supporters Circle is a way to remain part of that work.
Membership is expressed through monthly participation that strengthens the monks’ monastery — supporting the stability that makes the dog training and care possible.
Alumni join because they:
• Value the New Skete tradition of integrity, clarity, and kindness
• Experienced firsthand how structure
deepens trust between dog and owner
• Continue applying the principles that
shaped their relationship at home
• Want to help sustain this disciplined
approach for future families
The Dog Supporters Circle brings together past training and puppy families who wish to remain part of the New Skete community.
Through ongoing monthly participation, members help strengthen the monastery that shaped their dog’s foundation — ensuring that future families can begin their journeys here as well.
Stay Connected
(Participation begins at $25 per month)
Puppy Pals receive:
• A monthly Paws & Prayer email that includes:
– A practical training insight drawn from the New Skete tradition
– A short reflection connecting dog training and spiritual life
– Occasional puppy updates
• Early notice of workshops and events
This monthly rhythm keeps you connected to both the discipline and the deeper meaning behind the work.
Be Closer
(Participation: $100 per month)
Training Companions remain more closely connected to the tradition and the rhythm of life at New Skete.
In addition to all Puppy Pals benefits, Training Companions receive:
• Invitation to two scheduled virtual group conversations per year with a monk
• Annual recognition in the Dog Supporter Circle listing
These structured conversations provide an opportunity to reflect more deeply on dogs, training, and the principles that guide the work at New Skete.
Sessions are:
• Group format
• Scheduled
• Questions are submitted in advance to avoid redundancy and to allow us to address as
many topics as possible during the session
• Moderated
• Focused on training, leadership, and life with dogs
This level is ideal for alumni who value thoughtful dialogue and continued connection.
Extend the Impact
(Participation: $250+ per month)
Shepherd’s Circle members help extend the impact of the New Skete training tradition beyond their own experience.
In addition to all Puppy Pals and Training Companions benefits, Shepherd’s Circle members:
• Support the monastery’s dog training work, including efforts that help make training more accessible
• Receive periodic Transformation Stories featuring dogs and families served through the monastery’s training program
• Receive a yearly birthday card with a prayer for their pet
• Receive priority notification for select retreats and workshops
• May occasionally be invited to suggest names for puppies, when applicable
This level reflects a deeper commitment to sustaining the integrity, discipline, and continuity of the monks’ work.

Monks of New Skete is a tax-exempt religious organization
under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
No goods or services are/were provided in exchange for this
contribution other than intangible religious and educational benefits.
All participation in the Dog Supporters Circle strengthens the monastery as a whole. At the Shepherd’s Circle level, that support extends further into the dog training program — including the Dog Training Assistance Program — helping keep guidance accessible while preserving the integrity of the work.
The Dog Training Assistance Program allows New Skete to extend discretionary pricing adjustments to certain families seeking guidance who may not otherwise be able to afford full training fees.
Support is not based solely on financial need. Families must demonstrate commitment to the training process and a willingness to maintain structure at home.
Membership in the Dog Supporters Circle strengthens the monks’ monastery and the dog training program as a whole — making this assistance possible within the integrity and stability of the work.
Participation is collective in nature and does not designate support to specific dogs or families.
