2017 Fall Retreat

October 07, 2017

Silence and Engagement

Silence: disengaging from my busy mind and engaging my "heart consciousness" of who I truly am.

During the retreat:

  • We challenge overstimulation and scatteredness in our daily lives.
  • I make a personal inventory: where am I now?
  • We cultivate honesty with ourselves and awareness of our resistance to change.
  • We become aware of our Inner Light, of Christ within, who leads us to see ourselves with new clarity, to desire change, and to be willing to change.  The Lord says: “when you seek me with all your heart …  I will let you find me.” (cf Jeremiah 29:13, 14)
  • We trust our souls to Grace.
  • I adopt a personal spiritual framework.
